Callan Latham is a first-year student at the University of Iowa. She is studying English and creative writing, as well as German. Her poem, “Wenn man liebt, muss man glauben,” is inspired by spring in her hometown. She enjoys making normal things, such as spring, a little abstract—she loves playing with language, whether it is English or German.
